Dear John,
Meet Ellis. She looks like the perfect puppy but, on the inside, she’s dealing with a ton of hurt. When she came to PAWS Chicago, Ellis tested positive for parvovirus and roundworm. She also had a severe upper respiratory infection. Without the PAWS Chicago Medical Center, this could have been the end for Ellis. But, here, she’s finally on the mend.
Every year, our Medical Center treats over 5,000 homeless animals. And, on average, it takes 3 months of care for our sickest and most injured pets to fully heal. This includes medical procedures, advanced surgeries, medicines, diagnostic tests, time in quarantine and more.
Thousands of animals like Ellis are waiting for their second chance, and it starts with you.
Find out how you can support a pet’s journey through the PAWS Chicago from intake to adoption.
