Live in the UK? Interested in making your town pesticide-free?
Join us at one of our regular Pesticide-Free Towns campaigner catch-ups tomorrow (Tuesday, 14th September at 6.30) to hear more about the campaign and meet other campaigners. We have a couple of great guest speakers and will also be focusing on how to set up a petition and generate signatures. These sessions are usually for campaigners only but we're having an open session this month and would love for you to join us for a sneak peak 'behind the scenes'.
We'll be chatting to Professor Dave Goulson about his new book 'Silent Earth' which reveals the shocking decline of insect populations that has taken place in recent decades. It is a call to arms for profound change at every level - in government policy, agriculture, industry and in our own homes and gardens.
We'll also be hearing from the fantastic Pesticide-Free Birminghamcampaign and how they have managed to get over 95,000 signatures on their petition calling for the council to end their use of pesticides.
