Dear John
Summer is finally on its way! As the end of the year quickly
advances, there’s no stopping for my busy team as we prepare for
another round of end of year business and school awards and
celebrations while looking forward to Christmas carols and
festivities.
In this
month's newsletter, we discuss some of the issues facing our rural
communities. I was joined by my colleagues in our Provincial
Priorities team earlier this month in the electorate and one of the
messages coming through loud and clear from our community is that
farmers are worried.
There is still time for you to have your say in our various
discussion documents across a number of sectors, including the Primary
Sector.
You can also read more about my 3 day stay petition, a
petition that is calling on the Government to have mums’ stay in
hospital extended to 72 hours after giving birth and have the funding
ring-fenced.
I'm kicking off a round of phone surveys shortly, so if we
call over the next few weeks, please take a moment or two to give me
your views.
If I don't get to speak to you by phone, there are other
opportunities for you to catch up with me - more details in the
newsletter.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
