AXIOS: 
“Unprecedented Texas abortion ban goes into effect”

Recently, a Texas law that bans abortions after six weeks -- before most women even know they’re pregnant -- went into effect.

This is the most restrictive ban in the country, and its impact will be felt most keenly among communities of color and low-income Americans.

The Texas law is also the most extreme, offering a $10,000 bounty to anyone who sues an individual they believe helped someone obtain an abortion. That could be a health care worker, a family member, or even a ride-share driver. 

Yet, the Supreme Court chose not to act on any requests and intervene before the law took effect. That could be a bad sign for the future of Roe v. Wade and reproductive freedom in our country under Donald Trump’s 6-3 Supreme Court conservative majority.

If this news is as infuriating for you as it is for me, please -- don’t get discouraged. Instead, channel your feelings into action.
