We have a shadow Government running the show; the idea that Joe Biden is completely in charge of the Presidency may be a stretch of common sense. The latest vaccine mandates are clearly a preview of an authoritative regime in the making. Whether you’re for the vaccine or not, mandating it on a supposedly “Free” population is wrong. Further, making exceptions to the mandate for your friends and political allies only proves the concerns surrounding the vaccines may be true, and making it political undermines the credibility of the process. If we are the “Home of the Brave and the Land of the Free”, it may be time for the Brave to start standing up for freedom. We have to remember freedom knows no color, no religion, no gender, no creed, or status in the community. We stand for Freedom for all. Let’s be brave and standup while we still can and stop the march to destroy our freedoms. Jay ‌ "America belongs to We the People. It does not belong to Congress. It doesn't belong to special interest groups. It does not belong to the courts. It belongs to We the People." John Jay RNC Intends To Sue Biden Administration On Unconstitutional Mandate WASHINGTON, D.C. – Friday, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel announced the RNC’s intention to sue the Biden administration on their unconstitutional mandate: “Joe Biden told Americans when he was elected that he would not impose vaccine mandates. He lied. Now small businesses, workers, and families across the country will pay the price. Like many Americans, I am pro-vaccine and anti-mandate. Many small businesses and workers do not have the money or legal resources to fight Biden’s unconstitutional actions and authoritarian decrees, but when his decree goes into effect, the RNC will sue the administration to protect Americans and their liberties.” GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS Governor Ron DeSantis called President Joe Biden’s latest plan to threaten people’s jobs if they don’t get vaccinated “fundamentally wrong” and vows to fight those mandates. On Thursday the President announced several stringent vaccine requirements, including a plan to require businesses with over 100 people to ensure their workers are vaccinated or tested weekly. Biden’s proposal also requires vaccinations for federal employees, federal contractors, and health care workers. Biden said his plan would affect 100 million people, about two-thirds of all workers. The Governor was asked by reporters to react to early information about Biden’s plan circulated prior to the President’s speech. “How could we get to the point in the country where you would want to have someone lose their job because of their choice about the vaccine or not? I mean, look, some folks have reasons to do — maybe they’re making the wrong decision — but to put them out of work and not let them earn a living because of this? I just think that that’s fundamentally wrong,” DeSantis told reporters. He continued that he believed tactics to coerce people into getting vaccinated by threatening mandates and firing and other business consequences, ultimately backfire. He said the more coercive the tactics, the more people it alienates. “I don’t think this helps to get people to do it (get vaccinated),” he said. Later he said, “The people that have had the higher vaccination rates in businesses have been ones that have had programs where they’re educating people, where they’re providing them all the information, showing some of the consequences.” “I do not believe that people should lose their jobs over this issue, and we will fight that. If they try to do that through a rule like the Department of Labor, I don’t think they have the legal authority to do that, but we obviously would want to support protections for people who are just trying to earn a living,” DeSantis continued. Instead of the Department of Labor, Biden seems to be looking to implement this mandate through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which is responsible for workplace safety. However, there is much disagreement between business owners, politicians, and attorneys on whether OSHA has the authority to force private companies to require vaccines. Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody is on the side that does not believe Biden has the authority. She said on Twitter that Joe Biden does not have the legal authority to force vaccines on millions of Americans. His proposal is outrageous and unlawful. I will be closely watching these developments and taking any and all action within the authority of my office to stop this unprecedented power grab.” Florida Is Parental Rights State In a victory for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, an appeals court ruled Friday to keep the state's ban on student mask mandates in place, at least until it issues a final ruling on the legality of the ban. The ban on mask requirements -- issued by the Florida Department of Health in August after DeSantis directed it to "protect parents' freedom to choose whether their children wear masks" -- had been suspended Wednesday by a judge in Tallahassee. Judge John C. Cooper had ruled that the state could not keep punishing school districts that require masks while the appeals court works toward a final ruling. Those counties and parents bringing suit against the Governor indicated that they will be seeking pass through jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Florida since this matter involves statewide issues. Unity- Always on Our Mind As we approach the 2022 mid-term elections and the 2024 presidential election, and in light of the abject failure of the Biden administration, we know that the very survival of our republic depends on the outcome of those elections. Therefore, we must stay unified. Never lose sight of who our political opponents are… the progressive left Democrats who are taking our country off a cliff with the active help of Big Tech and the old-line national news media. Our fellow Republicans are not the enemy! DONALD TRUMP VISITS NYC FIRST RESPONDERS ON 9/11 Former President Trump made a surprise visit with New York City police and firefighters Saturday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. In remarks to assembled guests, the former president sharply rebuked President Biden and the US pullout from Afghanistan. “It was gross incompetence and I hate to talk about it on this day,” Trump said. Trump praised New York’s Finest, telling the crowd, “If they let you do your job you wouldn’t have crime in New York!” As some in the crowd nodded their heads, The Donald jokingly warned them to “just stand and just be perfect.” Don’t nod, because if you do nod, you’ll get in trouble, OK?” Then someone asked if Trump would consider running for mayor of New York City. “I would love that! I’d say, ‘Fellas good luck, go to town,” before apparently referencing an uptick in violence in the five boroughs. “It’s hurting our city very badly.” He squeezed in for a photo with the crowd, earning another round of laughs when he quipped, apparently in reference to COVID-19, “I’m not catching anything from you. If I do, I’ll come back and blame you!” He also signed the stationhouse logbook, writing, “I love you all!” 20 years ago, following the terrorist attacks in 2001, President Trump was on the ground helping victims. DON'T YOU MISS HIM? ‌ HAPPENINGS ‌ REPUBLICAN PARTY OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HAS NEW HEADQUARTERS For the last eight months the Republican Party of Indian River County has been functioning without a center of operations. After looking at approximately 45 sites in the county a new location was unanimously recommended by the REC Headquarters Committee and unanimously approved by the Executive Board. Located at 865 20th Place (SE corner of 9th Avenue) in Vero Beach the new single story 2000 square foot headquarters has been leased for three years and features high visibility, large lighted sign, plenty of parking, reception area with built-in desk, conference room, several private offices a large kitchen, and restrooms for men and women. Ironically this new office is less than a block from the former HQ location. Plans are underway to have the office operational around October 1st. The telephone number will remain the same: 772-492-8394 and of course the website continues to be: IRCGOP.COM. Stay tuned for official opening activities mid-November. ‌ CANDLELIGHT VIGIL On September 7 on Veterans Memorial Island hundreds gathered for a candlelight vigil for the 13 military men and women killed in a suicide bombing at Kabul airport on August 26. Tara Giovannone, President of the Professional Women and Mothers Republican Club and Vice President of the Indian River Young Republicans organized and hosted the event. Thirteen tables were set up with the photo of each individual prominently displayed. Local veterans and ROTC units participated in the tribute that included a candle held silent walk around the promenade, a moment of silence, a 21-gun salute and the playing of taps. It was a moving and apt remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
