Fall is upon us, and we're gearing up for this year's Plastic Free Challenge — 30 days when we make our best efforts to avoid single-use plastic.

To kick off this year's Challenge, we hope you'll join us for our fourth annual Plastic Free Forum on September 25 at 1 PM. RSVP today!

This year’s forum, like last year's, will be virtual. Our fantastic speakers will tackle the issue of plastic pollution from different perspectives: consumer, activist, business, and legislative.

We’ll hear from

Jackie Nuñez, founder of The Last Plastic Straw and advocacy program manager for the Plastic Pollution Coalition;
Dr. Randi Pokladnik, Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition;
Tamela Trussell, founder of Move Past Plastic; and
Mala Persaud, owner of Trace—The Zero Waste Store.

The discussion will be moderated by Molly Bakal, chair of the Climate Reality Project Northern Virginia Chapter. The panelists will focus not only on ways we can reduce our own plastic footprints but also on actions we can take to change the systems that create an overabundance of waste. You do not want to miss this important conversation.
