Gray wolves once roamed across much of the continental United States. After being nearly wiped out, they began a long and slow recovery thanks to the Endangered Species Act.

But ever since the Trump administration recklessly stripped protections for this iconic species, gray wolves are once again facing vicious eradication — the likes of which we haven't seen since the early 1900s. States are offering increasingly aggressive and unscientific wolf hunts, allowing wolf populations to be decimated using cruel methods like baits, strangulating traps, and even packs of dogs. Not even wolf pups and pregnant females are being spared.

This is not wildlife management — this is senseless killing of a native mammal and a critical keystone species. That's why we're suing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and calling on them to reinstate Endangered Species Act protections for wolves nationally.
