Hey friend,

For the past week, I’ve been surveying the damage the remnants of Hurricane Ida brought across New Jersey. My heart breaks for the families of the 27 New Jerseyans who lost their lives in this deadly storm.

First and foremost, I hope you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and housed. Last week’s storm was a terrible reminder that no region of our country will be spared from the climate crisis. That’s why I’ve been working for the past week with local, state, and federal partners to ensure that our people receive the resources and support necessary to begin rebuilding their lives.

Right now, during this difficult moment, it’s imperative that we shift our efforts to providing relief and aid to those most affected by the storm. Many of our local food banks were already facing unprecedented demand, and now they could use our support. No family — no person — should be food insecure during this challenging time for our state.

If you’re willing and able to help, please give to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and the Food Bank of South Jersey whose work supports the impacted communities of New Jersey.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Across the great state of New Jersey, we are still reckoning with damage and loss. As Senator, I’m determined to ensure every New Jerseyan receives the resources they need to repair, rebuild, and recover.

Thank you for your continued support.
