It’s opening day for the Browns, folks!

Did you know that I used to play quarterback for my high school football team?

I was pretty good, but I wasn’t exactly Baker Mayfield, and an injury cut my college career short. So, I found another way to represent Ohio and make my hometown proud. I decided to run for office.

Playing football taught me that if you’re serious about winning, you need a solid gameplan. And it’s pretty obvious what plays the GOP will try to run to hold onto this Ohio Senate seat:

First, Mitch McConnell abuses the filibuster and blocks every stitch of progress in the Senate. Then, he calls up all his wealthy friends to flood our race with money. Next, the GOP will hammer us with nasty attacks and vicious lies. Finally, in the fourth quarter, they’ll try to trick enough voters to buy this Senate seat and keep it red.

Not on my watch.

Here’s my gameplan: We go to every corner of the Buckeye State and talk to every last voter. We even the playing field to flip this open Senate seat blue and expand our Democratic majority. And we make history by giving Ohio two Democratic Senators for the first time in decades.

But as every athlete knows, that takes a team. And we’ll need the strongest team our state has ever seen to fight back against my millionaire GOP opponents and the billionaires backing them.
