Team — Did y’all see Mia’s message from the other day?
After the Supreme Court upheld Texas’ abortion ban, it won’t be long before states like South Carolina institute their own restrictive laws inhibiting a woman’s right to choose.
Mia has been unafraid to stand up for reproductive rights in the past, and that won’t change as governor of South Carolina. Join her if you agree South Carolina must protect reproductive rights before it’s too late by signing on to her petition:
Thank you. Together, we can elect Mia and end the era of men controlling women’s ability to make their own health care decisions.

Friends,
Last week, the Supreme Court upheld a Texas abortion law that could have national implications by criminalizing medical professionals, family members, friends, community members and anyone else who offers assistance or support to a woman or girl who’s seeking to terminate a pregnancy.
I’m disgusted. And outraged. Low-income women, LGBTQ+ individuals and women of color will bear the brunt of this restrictive law and others like it, especially here in South Carolina.
Desperate women and girls across SC will take desperate measures…sometimes in back alleys to abort a fetus that she feels she’s not physically, mentally, emotionally or financially able to support.
I’ve had ENOUGH, which is why I’m running. SC women deserve equal rights and equal treatment under the law. I’m fighting for them in the SC Senate and I’ll continue to fight for them as governor. Add your name to my petition if you agree that South Carolina needs to protect women’s reproductive rights and decisions.
I’m no stranger to fighting back against my pandering pro-birth colleagues who consistently wage war against SC women and girls by taking away our right to choose.
When my Republican colleagues in the General Assembly tried to deny women the right to make our own health care decisions by passing anti-choice legislation earlier this year, I exposed their hypocrisy by turning the tables on them.
My Viagra Bill gained national attention as one of the first bills of its kind — requiring a 24-hour waiting period for a Viagra prescription and counseling about celibacy, just to remind my male colleagues how absurd their restrictive, anti-choice laws are.
I’m NOT afraid to take on these fights, but I need to know you’re with me. Sign on to my petition if you agree South Carolina needs to protect our reproductive rights.
I’m running for governor to challenge the ‘good ole boys’ who are content making backroom deals to strip us of our rights, freedoms and choices. With your help, we can help protect SC women and girls and ensure that they always have a voice (and a choice) when it comes to their reproductive rights and decisions.
Thank you,
— Mia
