You’ve probably seen the news by now. President Biden withdrew David Chipman as his nominee to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), key enforcer of our gun laws. 

We lost this dedicated, qualified public servant because the NRA, Gun Owners of America, and Donald Trump Jr. launched an all-out national smear campaign against him. Their goal: prevent ATF from having the leadership it needs to enforce laws that save lives by reining in illegal firearm trafficking and prevent abuses by the firearms industry. 

We can't let them win. No matter what vicious attacks they bring, together we are building a movement that won’t be shaken, even by the most outrageous talking heads. It’s already won $50 million in funding for community-based violence prevention programs. Together with you and our vast network of partners doctors, faith leaders, and survivors, we are busy advancing a Common Agenda to End Gun Violence.
