John,
In a second, we’re going to ask you to chip in to our Primary Power Fund and help elect working-class progressives to Congress. But first, we want to explain why your contribution to the Primary Power Fund is so important right now.
Justice Democrats was started by a handful of Bernie staffers and super volunteers, who were inspired by the 2016 election to fundamentally transform the political system. They knew that in order to fight for a future to believe in, we needed to defeat the members of Congress standing in the way of change.
And they did, first by managing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s field campaign and helping AOC defeat one of the most powerful corporate Democrats. Now, we have 10 Justice Democrats in Congress.
Our small but mighty progressive coalition in Congress has already accomplished so much. But in order to defeat a political system dominated by status-quo legislative agendas and big corporate dollars, we need to elect more members of Congress like AOC, Cori Bush, and Rashida Tlaib.
The Democratic party will spare no expense to protect their corporate-backed and out-of-touch incumbents. The 2022 Justice Democrats slate has already faced attacks from the same forces that have been fighting for years against progressive change.
That is where the Primary Power Fund comes in because, unlike the establishment, we don’t have corporate PACs or ultra-wealthy donors to fund our political fights.
We are working to make 2022 a winning year for Justice Democrats. But in order for our progressive candidates to join AOC and Bernie in Congress, we need to raise as much money as possible.
Our political revolution didn’t end in 2016 or 2020, and when we elect more working-class members of Congress, it only gets stronger. Our Primary Power Fund is one way we’re making that happen. Can we count on you to support our Primary Power Fund today?
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
