John -- A new article published by the Guardian shows that conservatives in Texas -- and across the country -- don’t have plans to appeal to a broader voting electorate anytime soon.

“There’s probably more confidence in their party that they can cater to the Republican primary electorate without necessarily creating problems for them in the general election, because they’ll fix that with redistricting.” -- Joshua Blank, research director at the Texas Politics Project

All On The Line is fighting for maps, and we’re against this “hard-right turn in Texas.” We can’t believe Texas lawmakers want to gerrymander away any problems they have with middle-of-the-road voters. The truth is -- all across the country -- fair maps will help bring the temperature down on our politics. But we need your help to do it.

Will you make a donation -- of any amount -- right now? It will help us prevent map manipulators from using the redistricting process to entrench themselves in power without accountability from voters.

Extreme politicians in Texas can enact “the most restrictive abortion law in the United States” and pass “new election restrictions" without having to answer to a majority of voters because of gerrymandering.

Redistricting provides us with a window of opportunity to ensure voters can hold politicians in Texas, Georgia, and across the country accountable when they go against the will of the people.

If we’ve learned anything over the past few months, it’s that democracy isn’t inevitable -- we must continually work for it. Can we count on you to make a donation right now to All On The Line? It will help us stop far-right extremism this year by ending gerrymandering.
