Dear John,
Today is the day we celebrate and honor grandparents everywhere.
Throughout our lives, grandparents provide us with life lessons and strength that helps make us who we are today. We benefit from their wisdom, and we pass it along to the next generation.
Whether you're a grandparent yourself or have special people in your life who hold that title, I hope you'll join me in celebrating these cherished connections.
Today, we honor grandparents everywhere — including those who act as caregivers and those who bravely live with Alzheimer's disease. We also honor those who are no longer with us, and we are forever grateful for their life lessons.
We're also grateful for friends like you who make it possible for us to continue our mission as we lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
If you're living with Alzheimer's, have lost someone to the disease or are impacted as a caregiver, family member or friend, we're here for you all day, every day. Our compassionate dementia experts are ready to answer your questions and provide support when you call our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900), and you can find online support and community resources at alz.org/help-support.
Thank you for all you do as a loyal and caring friend of the Alzheimer's Association. I wish you and yours a very special Grandparents Day.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
P.S. You can make a gift in honor of Grandparents Day to advance research and provide care and support. If you make a gift today, it can be matched up to a total of $100,000 until October 31 as part of our $100,000 Match Challenge, thanks to a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous.
