Folks,

20 years ago today we lost nearly 3,000 lives in an unprecedented attack that changed the face of our nation. My thoughts are with the thousands of families across the country who lost loved ones.

As we commemorate those we lost, let us also honor the first responders whose unmatched bravery saved countless lives. Their fearlessness serves as a reminder of the duty we have to each other, and to our communities. Today, I ask you to join me in holding space to reflect on the tragedy this anniversary represents, and reaffirm our collective commitment to the ideals our nation was built on -- so we may honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice twenty years ago.

Wishing you and your loved ones peace on this day of remembrance.
