John,
This morning, at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City, I joined people from around the world in a solemn ceremony. Together, as we do every year, we read the names of each person killed in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993.
It never gets any easier, not even 20 years on. But coming together in this way is so important. It's how we honor the lives and legacies of those we lost and pay tribute to the heroes who lifted us up and inspired us.
Telling those stories, and passing them down to future generations, is the mission of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. It's a mission I strongly support -- and it is more critical now than ever, as millions of Americans grow up without any memory of that devastating day, or of how we all pulled together to recover, with the help of people from every country and every faith.
I am grateful to the thousands who have joined me in donating to The Never Forget Fund, a new and vitally important fundraising initiative led by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Please click here if you'd like to learn more and contribute:

And as we honor all those we lost, I hope you will take a moment to remember and reflect on a day that we must never forget.
Sincerely,
Michael R. Bloomberg
