John,

Today marks the 20th anniversary of one of the most difficult days in our nation’s history.

We all remember exactly where we were on that day. We vividly remember what we saw, what we heard and how we felt. 

We remember witnessing ordinary Americans - first responders, everyday New Yorkers, National Guardsmen and more - become extraordinary heroes. 
While there’s not a day that goes by we don’t honor their memory, today, we are especially reminded of the loved ones we lost that day, and the loved ones we lost since from 9/11 related illnesses or on the battlefield in the war against terror and more. 

We must renew our pledge to Never Forget those we lost that day or in the time since, the incredible sacrifices that have been made, and what it all means for our nation and the world.
