BAD NEWS IN VIRGINIA: New poll shows Republican Glenn Youngkin ahead of Democrat Terry McAuliffe in Virginia governor’s race
We MUST keep Virginia blue in 2021 to maintain a key Democratic stronghold, protect voting and reproductive rights, and root out Trumpism in the states for good. But polls are tightening, and Virginia is dangerously close to losing its Democratic trifecta and electing Trump 2.0.

This poll is bad news, John. National Journal reports that “this is the closest we’ve seen the race to date and the first poll showing Youngkin leading.” And the GOP is doing everything they can to flip Virginia red. First, the RNC has sent an army of field staffers into Virgina to help the Youngkin team. Then, the VA Republican Party filed a sham lawsuit to have McAuliffe removed from the ballot. Now, a new poll shows Youngkin AHEAD by 2 points!

John – the consequences of losing in Virginia are dire. With a fervent supporter of Trump’s Big Lie in the governor’s office, Virginia would be a threat to our democracy and spell disaster for Democrats in 2022.

Virginia sets the stage for some of the toughest races we’ll face next year in places like Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, and Georgia. If we’re going to show Republicans we have what it takes to protect Democratic strongholds like these we have to act now.
