| John, Twenty years ago today, the soul of our nation was shattered. I know none of us have forgotten the tragic events of that day. The 3,000 lives lost, the 6,000 injured, and the scar it left on our country. But through all the smoke and rubble, there was one thing that couldn't be destroyed… The strength and resilience of the American spirit. In the wake of that devastating attack, thousands of brave Americans joined our nation's military to fight in the War on Terror. And while sadly many of them didn't make it back home, we will NEVER forget their remarkable bravery. So, on this somber 20th anniversary of 9/11, I hope you'll join me in saying a special prayer for the lives we lost that day and for the thousands of troops who've sacrificed their lives defending America from similar attacks.
