John,

In the last few months, Democrats like you joined the California Democratic Party to build a massive get out the vote operation. You helped us with texting, calling, postcarding and knocking on doors -- talking to your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors about what's at stake in this Republican recall.

John, with only three days until Election Day, all hands are on deck to defeat the attempt to recall Governor Gavin Newsom.

Leadership matters, and Governor Gavin Newsom has led our state admirably through some of its toughest challenges. He:

Listened to public health experts and pursued public health policies based in science throughout the pandemic, then pulled out all the stops to get as many people vaccinated as possible. Today more than 80% of Californians have at least one dose of the vaccine;
Approved the Transgender Wellness and Equity Fund to close opportunity gaps for transgender and gender non-conforming Californians and expanded access to life-saving HIV prevention medication, making California the first state to allow pharmacists to furnish PrEP & PEP without a prescription;
Signed an aggressive climate agenda that includes conservation, banning fracking and toxic chemicals, and aggressive action to meet our emissions goals;
Doubled California’s investment in sexual & reproductive health care and signed a proclamation declaring California a state of reproductive freedom;
Confronted homelessness and the housing affordability crisis with a multi-billion dollar investment to help tens of thousands of people into housing, clean our streets, and build more affordable housing for low-income families;
Welcomed refugees and expanded healthcare coverage to insure undocumented Californians 50 and up;
Established a universal Pre-K program to give ALL of our children a chance to thrive;
Created the largest state tax rebate in U.S. history with the Golden State Stimulus:

and so, so much more.

If the Republicans are successful in recalling Governor Newsom, we stand to lose all of the progress we’ve made as a state. We can’t let that happen.

So John, I’m asking two things of you:

Vote NO on the recall and turn in your ballot if you haven’t already done so, and
Sign up to volunteer to get out the vote.
