Let’s get the For the People Act over the finish line.

Indivisibles,

Our democracy is under attack: fueled by Trump’s big lie of election fraud in 2020, Republicans are dramatically intensifying their campaign to restrict access to the ballot. Extremist lawmakers have introduced over 400 anti-voter bills across the country this year alone, and now these same lawmakers are preparing to draw congressional maps that will disenfranchise voters for the next decade.

For this past year, Indivisibles like you have been speaking up and taking action around the country to send an unmistakable message: our democracy depends on passing the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Senate Leader Schumer has promised that voting rights will be the first order of legislative business when the Senate returns from recess on September 13. We still have a lot of work to do to get this bill passed -- the filibuster is still a problem, unfortunately -- but Schumer’s commitment to bringing up the For the People Act again shows just how important this legislation is.

That’s why on September 17, communities across the country are participating in a Finish the Job For the People Nationwide Day of Action to remind the Senate of their obligation to protect our freedom to vote and to urge them to pass the For the People Act. Can you commit to attending an event near you?

RSVP to join a local rally to call on the Senate to deliver on their promise to pass the For the People Act with urgency.

The stakes are high, but by showing nationwide momentum and energy, we can ensure that the For the People Act remains a top and urgent priority for senators upon returning to D.C.

Thank you so much for your continued work and dedication to voting rights and the For the People Act.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team

Indivisible Project is a locally-led, people-powered movement of thousands of local groups in red, blue, and purple states, and in urban, suburban, and rural areas. Our mission is to power and lift up a grassroots movement of local groups to defeat the Trump agenda, elect progressive leaders, and realize bold progressive policies.

Grassroots donations, not foundations or large gifts, are our single largest source of funding. That means we’re accountable to, and fueled by, Indivisibles on the ground. Chip in $7 to keep fueling our movement.
