| Friend, Today we pause to remember those that our country lost on September 11, 2001.  On this day, we also remember the great sacrifices that were made by first responders at the scene of the attacks. They risked their lives and ran towards danger to save the lives of others. Democracy will always prevail above the evils of terrorism, and this difficult day will always serve as a reminder of that certainty. God Bless,  Senator Roger Wicker
