John,

Twenty years ago today thousands of Americans lost their lives in one of the most tragic attacks in American history.

Many of us can recall where we were when we saw the images of the World Trade Center burning. We remember the anger, the pain, and the grief we felt watching a symbol of American ingenuity and perseverance collapse in New York City.
However, our country did not take this lying down. We had a responsibility to our fallen to pick ourselves up and ensure those who were responsible were brought to justice.

Today, I want us to keep this spirit in our hearts. Let’s remember our strength, resilience, and courage and never forget the loss of these innocent lives 20 years ago.

God Bless America,
Beth Van Duyne
