Dear John,

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. On this solemn day, we remember the 9/11 heroes and their families, and we honor their bravery and sacrifice.

NVFS was honored to work for nearly eight years with individuals and families affected by the terrorist attacks through our Survivors’ Fund Project <[link removed]>. The legacy of that experience is one that is seen in all areas of our work today. We not only respond to crisis, we also ensure that long-term recovery includes the mental health supports and holistic services needed to heal. From responding to community needs in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, to supporting recently arrived Afghan refugees, NVFS continues to deliver the comprehensive services that help our neighbors thrive.

On behalf of the NVFS staff and Board of Directors, thank you for your support and partnership in response to our community’s greatest needs.

With gratitude,

Stephanie Berkowitz
