Friend,

Today marks a somber and heavy anniversary for our country. The horrific terror attacks of September 11, 2001 were unlike anything ever experienced on American soil. On the 20th anniversary of that tragic day, we continue to share a collective grief for the lives lost.

Friend, despite the challenges of that dark moment in our history, we prevailed. As the fog of horror and despair lifted after 9/11, our darkest moment gave rise to our country’s greatest strengths: unity, service, and resilience. I will never forget the Americans lost that day and the lessons they taught us all about bravery and sacrifice.

From the first responders to the families of those lost to the brave men and women who stepped up to honor their lives with service -- my heart is with each and every person whose life was upended that day.

With deep gratitude,

Allison
