After the odyssey Tafida and her parents had to endure with the British justice system, I am delighted to inform you from the bottom of my heart that…
Tafida has arrived at Gaslini Hospital in Genoa, Italy, where she will receive the treatment that could save her life!
I flew to Italy to meet Tafida’s parents and show them the enormous support of the whole CitizenGO community… representing hundreds of thousands of active citizens from all over the world. And also, to thank them for the fight for their daughter's life, in a world that appreciates something so valuable, less and less.
The atmosphere in the hospital was overwhelming - emotions were palpable! There were dozens of Italian and British media crowded at the doors of the hospital waiting for the words of Shelina, Tafida's mother, who arrived in Genoa after having accompanied her daughter on a specialist medical flight from London last Tuesday afternoon.

It was very exciting to hear Shelina thanking all the people who have helped Tafida via their participation in the CitizenGO campaign so that she can continue her recovery and her parents can keep their hopes alive. These thanks are for you John,

Tafida was accompanied from the British capital by three doctors from the Gaslini hospital and by a nurse specializing in medical transport. All this is thanks to the donations from generous and committed people like you!

Without your contribution or those of so many committed citizens, the family would not have been able to face the enormous expense that Tafida needs to stay alive: first the anguished and protracted legal odyssey, the expense of lawyers and judicial resources to save their daughter from disconnection ... And now transport, transportation to Italy, hospital expenses, medications, family stays ... And more expenses will come in the future.

To save their daughter, they are willing to do everything, even to financially bankrupt themselves, and who would not be?. Hence, your help, mine, those of so many generous hearts, is crucial for them.

In one of the emails we sent you, we included an email address for all of you who wanted to show your personalized support to the family. We took advantage of the trip to Italy to send them this show affection from all over the world: about 280,000 people signed the campaign to save her from the death that the British hospital wanted to inflict upon her. 

This is the moment in which we gave Tafida’s parents the support of citizens from all over the world:

Its strength represents an example that inspires us in the struggle for the rights of the weakest.
And thanks to you, again, for your support: this victory will mark a turning point in the respect for life, especially of the most defenseless.

It is not only a victory for Tafida and her family, but also for other children who find themselves in similar circumstances, who now have more reason to hope. Remember that petition signatures made it possible!
