It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since that tragic day in September when thousands of Americans were taken from us at the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and in Shanksville, PA.
September 11 will always be a day of remembrance and resolve. We will never forget the attack on our nation and the thousands of lives that were taken on that day. We will also never forget the heroism of our brave first responders, military personnel, and the many others who saved lives that day, and many days thereafter.
Americans showed the entire world that we are resilient on that day, John. Our country came together and stood up to the radical terrorists who attacked our nation.
Today I have the honor of speaking at the 20th Anniversary Ceremony and 9/11 Memorial rededication here in Indianapolis. I feel privileged to join Hoosiers to commemorate all that we lost.
We will never forget those we lost that day. I hope all Hoosiers will join Janet and I in saying a prayer of remembrance of the victims and one of healing for the families of the September 11 attacks.
Solemnly,
Eric Holcomb
