John,

Today, we mourn those we lost twenty years ago on 9/11 and honor the brave first responders who made heroic sacrifices to save others. We all remember where we were and what we were doing when this tragedy occurred and we will never forget them and their service to our country. Our prayers are with their families and loved ones.

Our law enforcement and first responders put their lives on the line every day. And their dedication helps to make our communities a safer place for people to live and work.

On that dark day twenty years ago, so many people stepped up at a moment’s notice to help their fellow Americans. It was a time when we all came together. That spirit is the best of who we are, and I hope that spirit can carry on today, despite the trouble and turmoil we face as a country.

When we are united, bravery and strength will always prevail.

God bless our great state and our great country.

Roy
