John,

Twenty years ago today, our world was changed forever.

I hope that you’ll join me in honoring the beautiful lives that were cut short and sending peace to the survivors, families, and first responders who live with the long term effects to this day.

I was in junior high school on 9/11, and I will never forget the panic and pandemonium that took hold as the day unfolded in front of us. But I will also never forget the heroism of the first responders, the generous spirit of my fellow New Yorkers, and the sense of togetherness that we felt.

Twenty years on, I hope that sense of togetherness helps us all recommit to a better future -- one grounded in peace and justice in every corner of our globe.

In solidarity,

Ritchie
