Africa & Europe
Pray for IJM Ghana as they work alongside the Ghana Police Service to develop a program to train a Marine Patrol Unit. This boat patrol would operate as a law enforcement presence on Lake Volta, patrolling to identify victims of child trafficking forced to fish on the lake.
Latin America
Pray for our team in Guatemala following last week’s announcement of new travel restrictions due to COVID-19. Pray for hope, creativity and safety for our teams in Guatemala and around the world.
South Asia
Praise God for evidence of freedom and justice at past sites of rescue operations in South Asia. Earlier this year, IJM revisited six worksites—including two rice mills, two brick kilns, a cattle farm, and the woodcutting unit—where IJM had assisted authorities on rescue operations back in 2019. It was found that two of the worksites had completely ceased operations, and four others were still functioning with dramatically improved conditions for their employees, now working freely. Please pray for the perpetrators to be held accountable for their crimes, as these six cases are currently progressing through the justice system.
Southeast Asia
Praise God for two successful rescue operations in the Philippines! Between the two operations, IJM Philippines and local law enforcement rescued 27 survivors from online sexual exploitation. Please pray for the aftercare of these survivors, that they will be given the resources and support needed to heal in this new season.
