Team,

Today marks twenty years since our nation experienced an unthinkable act of terror that changed our country forever. While two decades have passed, we still must remember this day and always memorialize those we lost.

We will never forget the nearly 3,000 lives that were cut short on that day and the lives lost from injuries and related illnesses in the years to follow. We remember the brave first responders, firefighters, and ordinary citizens who ran into the flames to save as many lives as possible. And we remember those who served to protect our country in the years to follow.

Our true character is revealed in times of crisis, and in the aftermath, Americans joined together and proved our resilience. I know together we can harness the same spirit of resilience to recover from the unprecedented challenges we are facing now.
