And now we are finally here - Get Out The Vote (GOTV) weekend for the Cleveland Primary elections! We are at a critical moment as we transition into these final days to reach every voter we can.

Why is a mayoral race important anyway? What do Mayors do?

In the city of Cleveland, the mayor serves as the city's chief executive and is responsible for proposing a budget, signing legislation into law, appointing departmental directors, overseeing the city's day-to-day operations, representing the city on the state, national, and international levels, and appointing all nine voting members of the Cleveland Metropolitan School Board.
