Hello,

Twenty years ago, on September 11, 2001, our Nation faced the most deadly terror attack in its history.

On that day, and in the dark days after, so many Americans showed courage in ways big and small: from the heroes on Flight 93 who likely saved the United States Capitol from destruction to the first responders who answered the call of duty in New York and Washington; the good samaritans who put themselves in harm's way to help others to safety to the men and women who signed up to defend our Nation abroad in our Armed Forces; and the people who helped shattered communities rebuild from devastating loss.

These selfless, courageous acts in the midst unspeakable horror united us as a nation and reflected the very best of the American spirit.

Today, on the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, I'll join national and local leaders at the hallowed ground in Shanksville, Pennsylvania to mark this somber day.

I hope you will join me in taking the day to honor those we lost and pray for their families. As President Biden said, "Service is a fitting way to start to heal, unite, and rebuild this country we love." You can find an opportunity to serve in your own community at [link removed].

Thank you,

Bob Casey
