Fellow Conservative,
Today marks a sad and important anniversary. Twenty years ago, we saw the very worst of humanity, as Al-Qaeda terrorists attacked our homeland and killed nearly 3,000 innocent Americans.

But in that dark hour, we also saw the very best in people, as firefighters, police officers, friends, and strangers rushed to help those in need—many sacrificing their life to save the life of another.

In August of 2021, we again saw these highest of American ideals, as American servicemembers—the boots on the ground—worked to rescue American citizens from Kabul.

Today is a day to remember those who were lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor those who dedicated and gave their lives protecting America thereafter.

For 20 years, America's sons and daughters have worked and sacrificed to keep us safe. We honor and remember their sacrifices.
Watch and share <[link removed]>

On this anniversary, it seems almost irreverent to speak of politics as usual. However, there are a few updates we feel obligated to share:
Quick Updates
- Your second amendment rights are a little more secure. After you called and emailed your senators and created an uproar, President Biden was forced to withdraw the nomination of liberal gun-grabber, David Chipman <[link removed]> to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This was your victory and proof that together, we can defend our freedoms.

- This week, the House Ways and Means Committee began writing the final text of the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill. If passed, this bill will be the largest expansion of the welfare state since LBJ, and its near-complete wish list of leftist policies. Conservative grassroots across this country are working hard to oppose this outrageous spending bill.

- On Tuesday this past week, Governor Abbott signed election reforms into law <[link removed]>, making it easier to vote and harder to cheat in Texas. Texas law now mandates voter ID for vote-by-mail and has provisions to increase transparency in the electoral process!
Biden's Unlawful Vaccine Mandate
President Biden’s vaccine mandate is unlawful, against our American principles, and even bad economic policy, as once again, Biden is making it harder for Americans to work.

It’s important to note who Biden is NOT requiring vaccines for:

- U.S. Postal Workers and other federal workers to who he’s granting exemptions

- The one million illegal aliens who came across our border in 2021

- Students taking government loans to attend liberal universities

- The millions of individuals accepting government unemployment payments instead of working

The message is clear: Biden is only blaming and attacking American workers.

Many small businesses are already struggling to hire workers due to higher taxes, inflation, and extended unemployment benefits. Biden’s vaccine mandate will further hurt low-income workers and industries most affected by worsening economic conditions.

According to polling <[link removed]> in July, 14% of Americans say that they will definitely not receive a vaccine. Of that group, 44% are workers making less than $40,000 a year. That translates to roughly 18 million low-income workers potentially at risk of losing their jobs if they do not comply with Biden’s unlawful mandate.

These 18 million workers are the most likely to work in the retail and services industries, which have been the hardest hit in the recent jobs report for August.

The American people have a right to work. Biden is trying to take it away.

Save Our Paychecks Tour Headed to Georgia
On Monday, Heritage Action will host a Save Our Paychecks event in Atlanta, Georgia to highlight the damaging effects of inflation and reckless federal spending on Georgia’s small businesses.

Governor Brian Kemp and members of the Georgia congressional delegation will join us to push back on Biden’s economic agenda.

Despite pro-growth policies at the state level in Georgia, Biden’s inflation and proposed tax increases from Washington threaten Georgians’ paychecks. In addition, the economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic is slowing.

August’s job numbers were disappointing <[link removed]> to say the least. The U.S. economy added 235,000 jobs, which represents a 79% decrease from July and is the lowest number of jobs added since January. Economists have downgraded <[link removed]> expected GDP growth in 2021 to 5.7% from 6.2%.

What’s to blame for the lackluster job report? Taxes, inflation, and job-killing regulations.

All things we’ll be highlighting in Georgia, where we look forward to connecting with many of you in person!
