96 Dear John,

Twenty years ago today, we witnessed pure
evil. The horrific events of 9/11, carried out by radical Islamic
extremists, shook America and the world to its core.

They wanted to
tear down our great nation.

Instead, the events on September 11th,
2001 united the American people in a way that we hadn’t seen before.
Today, as we observe Patriot Day 2021, we must renew our resolve to
NEVER FORGET and STAND UNITED as a nation.

We lost nearly 3,000
precious souls on 9/11, at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and in
Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Let us commemorate their lives and sacrifices
today, and pray for their loved ones left to carry on.

We must also
honor the heroes of 9/11 - our first responders who selflessly ran
toward danger with their lives on the line to save others in peril.
And let us remember and honor those brave patriots who’ve stepped up to
serve in our military in the years since.

Thank you for allowing us
to share this solemn day with you, as we remember together and never
forget.
