With just four days left to go in the California recall, news is coming fast and furious. We won’t be able to win Tuesday without the continued support of this grassroots team, so I wanted to take a moment to reach out today and give you a critical update on all the latest developments.

BACKGROUND
Republicans know they can’t win fair and square in California, so they’ve resorted to Trump-style dirty tricks in an attempt to reverse the will of the voters and flip a major blue state RED.

As you know, the polls are open in California’s Republican recall. Most voters are returning their mail-in ballots, but in-person voting is now also underway. Voting ends and the tabulation of results begins at 8pm PT on September 14th, just four days from now.

NEW POLLING
Until very recently, polls showed Newsom’s odds of defeating this recall in a virtual tie. While most Californians support Gov. Newsom, California Republicans were fired up to turn-out and vote. But I have good news to share: the latest polling has Gov. Newsom defeating this thing with increased support, and 57% of likely voters now saying they will vote “No” on the recall! But to secure victory, we have to out-organize and out-work Republicans right now, in the final days of this election.

OUR ROLE

This governorship is critical for Democrats to maintain control of everything from the White House to the Senate. If we lose this race, not only will the GOP be emboldened, but a GOP candidate could replace Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein with a Republican if Senator Feinstein were to step down.

RECOMMENDATION
We CANNOT get complacent. If Democrats don’t show up and turn out in huge numbers, we could be left with a Trump Republican leading California! That’d be a disaster.
