John, the climate crisis is here.

Historic heatwaves, wildfires, catastrophic storms, and flooding like we just saw in Connecticut are now everyday occurrences across the planet. We must take action before it’s too late.

Congress is negotiating a transformative investment in clean energy and green jobs, but climate-change-denying Republicans and fossil fuel lobbyists are trying to weaken this bill. Sign our petition to tell Congress that it’s time to deliver on climate action: [[link removed]]

This week, Governor Lamont committed to taking real, tangible action to enact resiliency measures to protect lives and livelihoods in our state, and the Biden administration just announced a plan to convert nearly half the nation’s electricity to solar energy by 2050.

But as Governor Lamont said this week: “Targets are cheap. Promises are cheap. You’ve got to deliver.”

Congress has an opportunity to deliver by passing a $3.5 trillion budget that includes historic investments in climate action, but Republicans and the fossil fuel industry are spending big to lobby against these efforts. Inaction isn’t an option.

Sign the Connecticut Democratic Party’s petition to join us in telling Congress to take transformative action against the climate crisis by investing in clean energy and green jobs by passing the full $3.5 trillion budget plan. [[link removed]]
