Twenty years ago tomorrow, on September 11th, America witnessed an
unforgettable tragedy. Thousands of lives were lost, and more were
left mourning loved ones in the wake of the attack against the Twin
Towers of the World Trade Center.
On behalf of the New Hampshire Republican Party, I extend our deepest
sympathies to the families who paid the ultimate sacrifice. America
will never forget this attack on freedom, nor those who were lost as a
result. Please be sure to take the time tomorrow to pay remembrance to
Patriot Day. There are a lot of poignant moments we remember from
that infamous September day and the days that followed.
Those reading this newsletter likely all remember the bullhorn speech
from President Bush standing upon the rubble, declaring to New Yorkers
that they were being heard by the world and that the people who took
our towers down would be hearing from all of us soon. Those of us who
remember the attacks and the emotions from that day must do our part
to ensure those who weren’t alive are able to know what took place.
We must never forget and we must always remember, and do what we need
to do to teach the next generation about the sacrifices made and the
many lives murdered by terrorists on that day. As we reflect this
weekend on the sacrifices made in the ongoing fight for freedom and
our American way of life, please participate in one of the many
remembrance events being organized in towns across New Hampshire.
Next week, we will be holding our Federal Delegation accountable in
Exeter. By calling out wasteful spending, we’ll make sure Maggie
Hassan, Jeanne Shaheen, and Chris Pappas can hear us loud and clear.
Join us at Exeter Town Hall on Tuesday, September 14th at 12 PM for a
rally against wasteful Washington spending. I’ll be speaking there
