With just four days until California’s recall election ends, time is running out to defend a Democratic stronghold and stand with Gov. Newsom.

John – we have good news and bad news coming out of California.
|
|
First, the good news: Just last week, we were worried sick about Newsom’s chances in this election. Polls were virtually tied, with barely 50% of likely voters committed to voting no to stop the recall.
|
|
But then, Democratic leaders sounded the alarm about what’s at stake in this election – and recent polls have shown more substantial support for Gov. Newsom, with more Democrats voting every single day!
|
|
But there is bad news: Republican enthusiasm is high, and if enough Democrats don’t cast their ballots, the GOP has a real chance of replacing Newsom with Trump 2.0. We can't let that happen.

|
John, losing the recall election would have serious consequences for the entire country. If Republicans take over the governorship in California, everything from the White House to our Democratic Senate majority will be in danger. California would go from a leader in our fight on climate change to part of the problem – and reproductive freedom, COVID protections, and voting rights for Californians would all be at risk.

This much is clear: we cannot afford to lose this critical Democratic stronghold. But with time running out and the race still too close for comfort, we MUST fight back with everything we’ve got. We need 42 more supporters from 19125 to stand up and show the GOP that we don’t support their undemocratic attempts to take over a blue state.
