Hi John, we have yet another update on the race here in Pennsylvania’s 8th District – a new GOP challenger has announced his candidacy.

Here’s the thing about the latest candidate: We’re expecting this news to activate National Republican dark money groups to start dropping cash into this race on his behalf.

One reporter commented on the news, the “GOP finally gets a major candidate in #PA08.”

National Republican groups are already buying up ad time in this district attacking Matt. Now that they have a serious candidate in the race, things are going to heat up quickly!

We need to prove to our opponents (and the National Republicans backing them) that we’re not giving this seat up without a fight.
