John,
Before we break for the weekend, I wanted to make sure you saw this clip from KUSI about our ongoing work to remove spent nuclear fuel from San Onofre.

Since taking office, one of my top priorities has been re-focusing Congress' attention on the urgent need to remove spent nuclear fuel from sites like San Onofre.
There are over 80 spent nuclear fuel storage facilities in the United States, but arguably none as high-risk as San Onofre. Waste containers sit within meters of the Pacific Ocean, and over eight million people live within 50 miles of the plant. Nearby earthquake faults and rising sea levels only add to the urgency.
No one member of Congress can fix this issue alone, and that's why I've assembled the bipartisan Spent Nuclear Fuel Solutions Caucus to establish the largest voting bloc possible to advance the policies we need to see on this issue.
I've also introduced the Spent Fuel Prioritization Act to ensure that spent nuclear fuel is moved first from higher-risk sites such as San Onofre.
I won't stop fighting until we get this waste off our coast. Everything we are able to accomplish is a testament to your continued commitment to our movement.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Mike
