Democrat,
Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, a moment that none of us who lived through it will ever forget. 9/11 resulted in the deaths of 750 New Jerseyans and changed the course of our state and our country's history. We will never forget the people who were lost, the lives that were changed forever, the feeling of our nation being attacked, and, simultaneously, the understanding that our country had to come together to confront our greatest challenge. To the families missing their loved ones, the first responders remembering their fallen colleagues, and everyone else who was touched by that fateful day, the New Jersey Democratic State Committee stands with you in never forgetting 9/11.

With the devastating effects of Hurricane Ida fresh in our minds, people all over our state and our country are calling out for climate leadership from our elected officials. Governor Murphy is answering that call, and yesterday he was joined by Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, Senate President Steve Sweeney and numerous state, local and labor officials to break ground on the New Jersey Wind Port. [[link removed]] In addition to fighting climate change by promoting renewable energy, the Wind Port will also establish New Jersey as the nation’s leader in the offshore wind industry and bring 1,500 good-paying union jobs to South Jersey.

President Biden announced an aggressive new six-point plan to fight back against COVID-19 [[link removed]] yesterday by increasing vaccinations, keeping schools open, providing more access to tests, and more. This is the kind of strong leadership we need from our President and it will hopefully push more people who have thus far refused to get the shot to do the right thing and get themselves vaccinated.
