Friend of Israel,
Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We will pause to honor the memories of those lost and the heroes who put themselves in harm’s way.
As we commemorate this solemn day that forever changed our nation, we know that our fight for freedom, peace and security continues. And Israel continues to stand with America in that fight.
The Jewish state remains an ally that the United States counts on to advance our security and strategic interests. Israeli technology and know-how help protect our cities and our infrastructure at home and abroad. And unlike other allies, Israel insists on defending itself, by itself, relying on America only to ensure it has the means to do so.
America has no stronger partner than Israel, and I’m proud to work alongside you to strengthen and expand that vital partnership.
Below are more key news items from the week. Wishing a G'mar Chatima Tova to all those celebrating.
