Jack,

Women must have a seat at the table. When they don’t, laws like the Texas abortion ban pass into law. State legislatures like Florida are starting to pass the same legislation. When our last president was in office, executive orders got signed like the one below. Who’s missing in that photo? Women.

When we allow people like Trump, Abbott, and DeSantis to get elected, photos like that get taken. Without our voices at the table, regressive, racist, misogynistic legislation will pass, cutting off millions of women in our country from access to critical healthcare.

We are continuing to fight! We are not giving up! We are strong, resilient warriors, seasoned from a centuries-long battle. We are our own force to be reckoned with, and in the past decade alone, we’ve seen incredible steps forward. The past two weeks have been brutal for women, so we wanted to take stock in how far we’ve come:

- We elected Vice President Kamala Harris as our first woman of color into the second-highest office of our country.
- The 117th Congress is the most racially and ethnically diverse Congress in history.
- Women are now the majority in law and medical schools.
- Employers are required to cover birth control without deductibles or copays.
- Congress voted, for the first time ever, to create paid family leave for all federal employees.

There are so many districts that have never been represented by women, and as a woman, Maggie will continue to fight for gender equality and reproductive rights to help women and their families. We need more champions for women, and that’s why it’s so important Maggie keeps her seat as New Mexico’s Secretary of State.

When women lead, we get things done, like blocking anti-abortion legislation that will endanger the lives of millions of women. Will you chip in right now to keep Maggie in office and keep New Mexico at the forefront of progressive change for women?
