Hello,

Earlier this year, the House passed a bill called the Save the Internet Act, and its purpose is simple. It would restore "net neutrality" rules that were implemented by President Obama in 2015 but repealed in 2017 by Donald Trump's FCC.

The idea of net neutrality is this: The large corporations that provide internet service to hundreds of millions of Americans shouldn't be allowed to create slow and fast lanes online. They shouldn't be allowed to charge you more to access certain content. And they shouldn't be allowed to prioritize websites that would make them more money.

The bill the House passed would restore the net neutrality rules that Obama put in place to prevent corporations from doing these kinds of things. But immediately, Mitch McConnell said that the bill was "dead on arrival" in the Senate. In other words, he's not even going to allow a vote on it, because he knows it would pass.

Four out of five Americans support net neutrality - and so do a majority of senators! In addition to every Democrat, three Senate Republicans (Collins, Kennedy, and Murkowski) voted to reinstate Obama's net neutrality rules last year. That's why Mitch is using his favorite trick in the book: If he doesn't like something, he doesn't allow a vote on it - plain and simple. So even if there is enough support for something to pass the Senate (and in this case, there is), it never has a chance.

It's no different than how Mitch refused to allow a vote on the full public release of Mueller's report. How Mitch blocked a vote on HR1 - the bill passed by the House to make it easier to vote. How he refused to allow a vote to reopen the government during Trump's month-long shutdown. And it's certainly no different than when he blocked Merrick Garland or rammed through Brett Kavanaugh.

But enough is enough. We are fed up with Mitch McConnell and his partisan games of putting his own self interest ahead of what's right - and we're not going to allow him to continue to obstruct progress and erode the way our democracy is supposed to work.

That is why we started Ditch Mitch - a new, completely grassroots-funded organization that is solely dedicated to defeating Mitch McConnell when he is up for reelection next November.

Already over 81,000 donors have joined our grassroots movement and made a donation to help us take down Mitch McConnell in 2020. If you're as fed up as we are with McConnell, then please, click here right now and give whatever you can afford today to join us and help us Ditch Mitch once and for all. Every dollar you give will go directly to holding Mitch McConnell accountable, supporting his Democratic opponent, and ensuring that Mitch McConnell never wins an election ever again.

It's no secret why Mitch won't allow a vote on this bill: His campaign corporate donors don't want him to.

Mitch McConnell has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from large corporations like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T that don't want this bill passed. Over $490,000 to be exact. And he's afraid that if he were to allow a bill reinstating net neutrality rules to pass, they might stop giving to his campaign and start giving to his opponent's.

Deep down, what Mitch McConnell fears most is losing, and he knows he's vulnerable. Mitch is the most unpopular senator in the entire country. Even in ruby red Kentucky, the most recent poll shows that McConnell is only ONE POINT ahead of Democrat Amy McGrath.

Together, we can defeat Mitch in 2020, but if we're going to be able to stand up to all of his special interest money from large corporations, Big Oil, Big Pharma, Wall Street, and the NRA, we're counting on you to help us build the grassroots movement capable of doing it.

Will you join our grassroots movement and click here right now to give whatever you can afford today to help us defeat Mitch McConnell next November? Every dollar you give today will help us run TV, radio, and digital ads, print bumper stickers and yard signs, recruit volunteers, and convince voters to Ditch Mitch once and for all in 2020.
