Dear John,

Yesterday the Nonhuman Rights Project and ten other organizations sent a letter to Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, urging his office to take action to ensure Minnie’s safety and publicly call for her transfer to one of the two accredited elephant sanctuaries in the United States: The Performing Animal Welfare Society or The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.

Please join us in calling on Governor Lamont to help Minnie.

Take these actions to help Minnie:

First, complete this action alert to Governor Ned Lamont.

Next, take action on social media:

  • Twitter: Tweet the following – Hi @GovNedLamont! There are urgent welfare concerns for Minnie the elephant at the Commerford Zoo in Goshen. Please call on the Commerford Zoo to release Minnie to a sanctuary & take all appropriate actions to investigate the mounting concerns for her. #FreeMinnie
  • Facebook: Share the alert on Facebook.

Please email me at [email protected] if you receive a response from the Governor or his office.

Thank you for taking action for Minnie!
