Run for Something

Hi John,

It is never enough to win federal power in D.C. We’ve been saying that since day one, but I’ve really been feeling it these past few weeks.

We must win power everywhere, at every state and local office in every state & community — both for the political foundation it lays and more importantly for the people whose lives are affected.

Democrats made headway last year, chipping away at a power structure designed to keep us locked out of power, but we're nowhere near close to finishing the job.

But now the stakes are as high as they've ever been, the GOP is dismantling decades of hard-fought progress and strengthening the totalitarian, white supremacist, misogynist state before our eyes.

Everything we've feared could happen is happening, and I'm reaching out to tell you that Run for Something is not going to take it.

We've got big goals -- and we cannot do it without you, your family, your friends, and your peers getting involved today, John.

Here's your call to action: Roe V. Wade is no longer the law of the land, our freedom to vote is becoming increasingly conditional, accurate American history is banned from being taught in some states, and climate change has arrived.

Here's what you can do: Join and support the +80,000 diverse young progressives (a new milestone) exploring a run for down-ballot office.

I know this email is very existential, I wish we didn't have to hit the panic button, but we are losing generations of political and cultural progress. It's time to sound every alarm we have and fight like hell to take back control of our institutions.

Thanks for taking the time to read, check out what we've been up to >>>
