Friend, I'm reaching out today to ask you to join me in supporting three organizations that provide reproductive health care in Texas: Jane's Due Process, the Afiya Center, and the Frontera Fund.

This month, a new law went into effect in Texas that bans abortions after six weeks -- before most people know they are pregnant.
The law goes further, offering a minimum $10,000 “bounty” on anyone that helps someone obtain an abortion in Texas.
There is a lot of focus on the Supreme Court for ignoring an emergency petition to stop this law, and rightly so. But remember: State legislators passed this bill, just like state legislators passed a similar bill here in Georgia that the courts blocked.
It's a powerful reminder that down-ballot elections, like those we focus on at Our American Dreams, can have enormous, far-reaching consequences.
But now, we must ensure that as many Texans as possible have access to the health care they need, whether that's abortion care, birth control, or help navigating the new law. Here are the three organizations we're supporting today:
• Jane's Due Process helps young people in Texas access reproductive care. They offer free legal support, 1-on-1 case management, and stigma-free information on sexual and reproductive health.
• Frontera Fund provides reproductive care and information to folks in the Rio Grande Valley regardless of immigration status, gender identity, ability, sexual orientation, race, class, age, or religious affiliation.
• The Afiya Center is the only reproductive justice organization in North Texas founded and directed by Black women. Their Support Your Sistah (SYS) fund provides practical support for Texans seeking reproductive care, including transportation and childcare.
