I just got the chance to brag about Minnesota's democracy in the pages of USA Today! I told USA Today that, "there are aspects of what we do in Minnesota that are exportable."

I noted our longtime system of election day voter registration, online voter registration, and widespread opportunities to vote from home as examples that could be duplicated easily in other states.

The point is that even during this tough time for American democracy, Minnesota is a bright spot - and a cause for real optimism. What we do works. We're a model.

We're #1 in America in voter turnout because we have strong laws and voters. But our success is at risk from those who want to take us backwards by weakening the freedom to vote.

I pledge to defend our proven system from such threats. Will you make sure I’m able to continue my work by chipping in $5 or more right now to my campaign?

Thanks for everything,

Steve
