One is a faith leader who speaks boldly in support of reproductive justice and LGBTQ Texans. Another is a bright young student leader creating change from her college campus and in her community. And the other is one of our state’s great progressive changemakers.

John,

This has been another hard-fought year. All of us at TFN are grateful and humbled by the activism and dedication of our grassroots network. As we look to the future, we will come together to recognize true champions who have gone above and beyond this year to defend our democracy and promote equality and social justice for all. Today, I’m pleased to announce TFN’s 2021 Social Justice Champions.

One is a faith leader who speaks boldly in support of reproductive justice and LGBTQ Texans. Another is a bright young student leader creating change from her college campus and in her community. And the other is one of our state’s great progressive changemakers.

TFN will recognize these individuals at Onward! A Celebration of Social Justice Champions virtual event on Wednesday, November 3, at 7:00 p.m.

This year’s honorees represent the quintessential commitment to social justice. We are excited to spotlight these individuals’ tireless pursuit of a Texas that works for everyone. True change is possible, and these champions make it more of a reality with the work they have committed to do today and for years to come.

I look forward to celebrating these champions with you, online, on November 3!

Onward,

Val Benavidez
TFN President
